More About Our Boat
As the original owners of Allegro since commissioned in March,
1998, we know her well. We take great pride in maintaining our
boat for trouble-free cruising so all you need to do is step aboard
with your provisions to begin fulfilling your dream. The boat cruises
very comfortably based on extensive cruising in southern California
and three years on Mexico's Pacific coast and the Sea of Cortez.
Our 2007 insurance survey found, "the overall appearance and
condition shows pride of ownership and suggests that this vessel
has been regularly maintained".
Don't be fooled by the equipment lists of other boats, which might
include mostly standard equipment included on all Catalina 42s or
second-hand stuff from swap meets. All the gear we added was
new and installed within the last three years, amounting to over
$44,000 of well thought-out equipment additions. We purchased
new equipment that was robust and reliable. Furthermore, If added
gear did not work as anticipated in cruise mode we removed it or
replaced it. You don't have to make the same mistakes and then
fix them...we did it for you.
